TRACK AND FIELD: Kentlake track finishes regular season against Auburn Riverside

The Kentlake track and field team completed the South Puget Sound League, 4A North season last week hosting a meet against Auburn Riverside.

Team members began competing in the SPSL subdistrict meet, which began Wednesday. Results and a slide show will be posted online at www.covingtonreporter.com.

Against the Ravens, Zach Smith won three events. He took the 100-meter sprint in 11.42 seconds and the 200 in 22.67. Smith was best in the long jump reaching 22 feet, 1.25 inches.

Shad Hall won two events. He was first in the 300-meter hurdles in 43.0 and he was top in the high jump at 5-10.

The 400 was won by Matthew Cowan in 52.41.

Smith, Cody Arp, Dakota Lobdell and Cowan won the 400 relay in 43.75.

In boys field events, Jon Parker took the shot put with a throw of 43-07.50.

Tyler Jewett took discus reaching 118-10.

Michael Tanimoto won the pole vault clearing 12-03.

For the girls team, Madelayne Varela was a double winner taking the 100 in 13.20 and the 200 in 27.74.

Christin Blanton took the 100-hurdles in 17.64.

Brianne Gould won the pole vault clearing 10-00.
