NIKKI SKINNER, KENTWOOD

Grade: Senior.

Sport: Tennis.

Accomplishment: Skinner, playing No. 2 singles, helped the Conquerors wrap up the SPSL North by knocking off Kentridge’s Vicky Tran 6-1, 6-1 en route to a 3-2 team victory. The win helped Kentwood improve to 8-0 in league competition. Favorite class: Art. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite my fellow Art Club members (Tre Tyler, Nora Sabia, and Emily Reichlin) and I would serve grapes, strawberries and ravioli with alfredo sauce. Greatest athletic moment: Making it to district last year with Camille Madsen. Most recent book read/author: “The Ultimate Gift” by Jim Stoval. What’s on your iPod?: “PYT” by Michael Jackson.

STEFAN BANGSUND, KENTWOOD

Grade: Sophomore.

Sport: Soccer.

Accomplishment: Bangsund, a midfielder, turned up the offense, netting a pair of goals in a 2-0 victory over Auburn last week.

Favorite class: Social Studies.

If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite my best friends: Ike Crook, Austin Sweeney, Nate Harris and Connor Bennett. We would have Pizza Hut pizza with stuffed crust.

Greatest athletic moment: Winning four state championships with my club team.

Most recent book read/author: “1984” by George Orwell.

What’s on your iPod?: “All the way turnt up” by Roscoe Dash.

JORDAN WALLEY, TAHOMA

Grade: Sophomore

Accomplishment: Walley went 3-for-4 on April 29 against Kentwood, including hitting two home runs. She also pitched for the Bears twice last week, picking up wins both times.

Favorite class: AP European History with Ms. Morgan

If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite and what would you serve? I would invite my great grandpa Spud Walley, who passed away last March before he saw me play high school fastpitch. I would make his favorite clam chowder soup with seafood fettuccine.

What is your greatest athletic moment? Hitting my first home run; it was a grand slam when I was 11.

What’s currently playing on your iPod? My Best Days Are Ahead of Me by Danny Gokey.

Most recently read book/author: “The Last Song” by Nicholas Sparks.

TAYLOR SMART, TAHOMA

Grade: Senior

Accomplishment: Smart went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs on April 26 with a pair of home runs and collecting three RBIs in a 9-7 win over Auburn. Smart helped the Bears win five out of their last six to propel the squad into third place in the SPSL North.

Favorite class: Sports and health with Adam Turley

If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite and what would you serve? I would invite Dustin Pedroia over for dinner and I would serve Mike Hyde’s barbecue chicken, baked potatoes, Outback Steakhouse house salad, corn bread and angel food cake for dessert.

What is your greatest athletic moment? Hitting a double and a triple in Dodger in summer (league).
