The Tahoma volleyball team took third in West Central District III 4A Volleyball Tournament and the next step is state.
The district tournament was at Kentwood High School with 16 teams competing against each other.
The Bears played Curtis High School in their final match on Nov. 4. The score was 3-1. Tahoma placed first in their conference with seven wins and no losses. The Bears nest game is against Jackson High School on at 1:30 p.m., Nov. 10 in the 4 A state tournament.
Kentlake lost in the opening round Oct. 31 3-0 to Bellarmine Prep. The game was a loser out.
Kentwood lost its first match 3-0 to Puyallup Nov. 3 and lost its next 3-2 to Kentridge in a loser out game.
