The Tahoma High School girls volleyball team made it the 4A state championship taking fifth place.

The tournament began on Nov. 10 and it ended on Nov. 11 at the Toyota Center in Kennewick

During its final game the Bears beat Puyallup High School 3-0 for fifth place

The team opened the tournament with a win against Jackson High School 3-1.

The girls played against Curtis High School next and lost 3-1, which led them to the next game that determined if they made it to the final round to fight for fifth place.

During that determining game they beat Kennedy Catholic 3-2, leading them to their final game of the season.

During their season, the Bears placed first in their division and also placed third in districts, which took place at Kentwood High School.

Woodinville ousts Kentwood from state football

Jaden Sheffey threw three touchdowns as top-ranked Woodinville stopped Kentwood 48-7 in a state Class 4A playoff opener Saturday night at Pop Keeney Stadium in Bothell.

Nash Fouch caught two of Sheffey’s three TD passes.

Tayvonne Miller scored for Kentwood on a 2-yard run.

The Falcons (11-0) jumped out to a 28-0 lead and never looked back.

Kentwood’s season ends at 8-3, with the North Puget Sound League Cascade Division title at its first trip to the state playoffs in seven seasons.

Quarterback Justin Seiber threw for more than 3,200 yards and 34 touchdowns this season for the Conquerors.
