Tahoma High graduate Chris Powers is one of eight Eastern Washington University football players named to the BSC Preseason All-Conference Football Team on Monday.

Powers, who is from Black Diamond, graduated from Tahoma in 2007, enters his senior season with

27 career starts.

At center, he was the anchor of an offensive line that helped the Eagles to the school’s first ever football national

championship in January.

Eastern capped a 13-2 season by beating Delaware 20-19 in Division I-A title game. With 15 total starters back and 52 total returning letterwinners returning, EWU should be in the hunt for the title again.
