Bears wrestlers leave the tournament with eight champions

As expected, the dominant Tahoma grapplers earned first place at the Feb. 8 sub-regionals tournament

Bears coach Chris Feist said he knew his team would likely come away with wins and had his eyes towards the next markers: regionals and state.

“We’re here to learn, get better and advance,” Feist said just prior to the finals matchups. “Just let the wrestling speak for itself.”

Kentlake, which won only two regular season dual meets, sent four wrestlers to the finals, with 152-pounder Josh Beckler the lone victor. Kentwood also had one champion, 220 pound Austin Duncan.
