The Tahoma girls gymnastics, once again, took the win during its final regular season gymnastics meet.
This meet took place on Wednesday, Jan. 24 and was hosted at Mt. Rainier High School.
The Bears took the win with 154 points, beating the second place team by nine points.
Of all the events, Tahoma placed in all five. Emma Rochleau, a junior, placed third in four of the events and Laena Tieng, a sophomore, placed in four of the events as well.
NPSL 4A Overall Standings
The Tahoma Bears ended the season in fourth place in the North Puget Sound League 4A while Kentlake High School placed second overall this season.
Kentlake’s last meet was on Jan. 24 and was hosted at Kentwood High School. The Falcons took the win with 165 points. Other schools that participated in that meet were Kent-Meridian High School and Kentridge High School.
Kentwood High School ended the season in 14th place. The Conquerors last meet was Jan. 24 and was a home meet. The Conks ended up placing third in the this final meet with 152 points, beating Kent-Meridian which had 135 points.
The next step for all three of these teams are Sub-Districts, which will take place next Saturday at Mount Rainier High School. From there, the whole team can qualify for Districts or individuals from the team can.
