After losing two in a row, the Tahoma Bears held on Thursday to beat Auburn Riverside 3-0 on the road.
Junior Cory Soiseth’s 25 yard field goal midway through the second quarter proved to be the only score from either team Thursday.
Tahoma junior Caleb Lowery was 8 for 14 for 75 yards passing Thursday.
Senior Max Repenn had a team high 91 yards rushing on 22 carries in the 3-0 win.
Leading the Bears in receiving was senior Kameryn Blakey — he had two catches for 43 yards.
On the defensive side, Tahoma senior Artur Hrabar recorded nine solo tackles and assisted on another.
According to the box score, Soiseth had another field goal attempt but was unsuccessful.
Tahoma is currently 1-2 in league play and 3-3 overall.
The 2018-2019 season concludes after the Bears host its final two games.
First up is a 7 p.m. kick off Friday, Oct. 12 against Kentwood and the following week Enumclaw comes to town for a 7 p.m. kick off Friday, Oct. 19.
The Hornets are currently leading the North Puget Sound League 4A Mountain Division with an undefeated league and overall record — 3-0 and 6-0.
Kentwood currently sits one spot back from Tahoma in the No. 5 spot with a 1-2 league record and 1-5 overall.
The Conquerors only win this season was late September when Kentwood beat Auburn Riverside 49-27.
Following Kentwood’s away game at Tahoma this week, the Conquerors will host its final game of the regular season.
Kentwood’s homecoming game will be a 7 p.m. kick off Thursday, Oct. 18 when it hosts Kennedy Catholic (2-1, 4-2).
The 1-2, 4-2 Kentlake Falcons lost its most recent matchup Friday 27-7 to the No. 1Hazen Highlanders (2-0, 4-2).
The Falcons started off the season strong winning four in a row before losing its last two games.
The previous loss was 37-14 to Federal Way in late September.
Kentlake is currently in the No. 4 spot in the NPSL 4A Valley Division.
Auburn Mountainview hosted Kentlake Thursday, the game was played after the press deadline.
The last game of the regular season for the Falcons is when Kentlake hosts Thomas Jefferson at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19 at French Field.
Scheduled for Friday, Oct. 26 is the NPSL week nine playoff cross over game.
