A longtime resident of the Renton-Maple Valley area, Stan Kawamoto, will be inducted as part of the Oregon chapter Class of 2015 into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Portland.

After a competitive career as state champion for Estacada High School and Portland State University, Kawamoto began officiating in 1967.

He served as president the Portland officials association and the Western Washington association. He served as head official for the Oregon state tournament from 1982 through 1991.

In 1995 he was named Puget Sound Official of the Year.
