Life for the Tahoma fastpitch team has been a series of ups and downs this season.

The Bears bounced back after dropping a double header against Thomas Jefferson on April 15 to beat Kent-Meridian 13-1 in a make up game on April 16.

Kaila Wilkenson led the offensive charge for the Bears going 4-5 at the plate, all singles, scoring a pair of runs and driving in one. Hayley Beckstrom and Alyse Henkel both chipped in a pair of singles while Hailey Granlund and Emily Miller each added a single and a double.

Kim Reese-White pitched three innings in the start while Katie Myers tossed three innings in relief with both collecting three strikeouts.

This offensive explosion against Kent-Meridian came after Tahoma managed three hits and one run in game one of the double header against Jefferson. The Bears put the ball in play more in game two scattering 12 hits with Lisa Maulden and Shelby Carter adding a stolen base each but it still wasn’t enough.

Tahoma dropped to 3-5 in league and 5-7 overall after facing Jefferson but with the win against Kent-Meridian improved to 4-5 in the South Puget Sound League North and 6-7 overall.

After those three games Tahoma found itself in a tie for fifth place with Auburn.
