LYNNSEY THIELMAN, Kentlake
Grade: Senior. Sport: Gymnastics. Accomplishment: Thielman, who has been one of the area’s top gymnasts all season long, took second on the beam, second on the floor and in the all-around during a meet last week against Decatur, Auburn and Tahoma . Favorite class: Psychology. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: (Teammate) Kelly Heagerty. And I would serve ice cream sushi, and baked sour cream and cheddar Lays chips. Greatest athletic moment: Taking second at state as a team my sophomore year. Also: Thielman is still deciding whether to attend Eastern Washington or Washington State in the fall. She plans on pursuing a degree in psychology in college.
AARON DAVIS, Tahoma
Grade: Junior. Sport: Wrestling. Accomplishment: Davis, who is competing in the 215 pound weight class, has won the last two tournaments he has entered, according to Tahoma coach Chris Feist, and has won nine straight matches by pin in the past two weeks. Favorite class: Leadership. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner whom would you invite and what you would serve? I would invite my old friends Aaron and Adrianna and would serve hot dogs and hamburgers. What is your greatest athletic moment: Being on varsity track my entire freshman year. Grade: Senior. Sport: Girls basketball. Accomplishment: Buskey has put the Bears on her back in recent weeks, scoring 25 and 20 in wins over Kentlake and Auburn respectively, while tallying a season high 32 points in a nine-point loss to Mount Rainier on Jan. 18. Tuesday night she led Tahoma with 25 points in a 51-37 win over Kentridge. Favorite class: Creative writing.
