Tahoma High School’s Laura Pierson, soccer, was selected as the Covington Maple Valley Reporter’s Female Athlete of the Week for Oct. 19.
Q: What is your favorite subject in school?
A: We The People (AP Government)
Q: What other activities do you participate in?
A: I like to take pictures, cook and take road trips.
Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?
A: My mom
Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?
A: My shoelaces are very long so I tie my left shoe lace seven times and my right lace eight times.

“Laura is someone who has shown leadership on and off the field this season. Off the field she is maintaining a 3.4 GPA while taking several advanced classes. On the field she is leading our team with assists and is one of our top three goal scorers. She is a team player who is willing to step up and play any position that she is needed. She has the ability to communicate in a positive manner with her teammates and pick them up when needed.”
