WILL RICHMOND, Kentwood

Grade: Senior. Sport: Cross country. Accomplishment: Despite falling down and suffering an abrasion to his arm, Richmond managed to take 30th overall at the West Central District cross country meet, which helped the Conquerors place fourth and earn a berth to this weekend’s state meet in Pasco. Favorite class: Marketing. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite my Kentwood cross country team, and I would serve spaghetti and meatballs. Greatest athletic moment: Running a 16:21 at the sub-district meet this year and placing 11th. Most recent book read/author: “Blink” by Malcolm Gladwell.

CALEB SAULO, Kentlake

Grade: Junior. Sport: Football. Accomplishment: Saulo threw for a pair of touchdowns and ran for another, leading the Falcons past Kent-Meridian on Oct. 29, 42-39. Favorite class: U.S. History. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite my personal quarterback trainer, Cliff McBride. He was a former QB for the University of Washington … and he got into a car accident that practically ended his dream of playing football at the next level. For dinner, we would eat some of the best seafood pho. Greatest athletic moment: Winning my first ever junior football championship as a bantam for the Sea-Tac Sharks along with my cousins, Nu’u and Stephon Vaifale. Most recent book read/author: Biography of Bill Parcells. In 10 years I will be …: Playing professional football, and if that does not work out, my Plan B is to become involved with law enforcement or possibly becoming a football coach.

EMILY TANASSE, Kentlake

Grade: Sophomore. Sport: Football. Accomplishment: Tanasse won the 100-yard butterfly and took third in the 100 backstroke with a state-qualifying time of 1:00.41 en route to helping the Falcons place second at last weekend’s district meet. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and we would go to Little Caesars for pizza. Greatest athletic moment: Standing on the podium and getting a medal at state last year. Most recent book read/author: “Macbeth” by Shakespeare. In 10 years I will be …: Out of college, living somewhere nice and … hopefully working as a veterinarian.

ELIZABETH OOSTERHOUT, Tahoma

Grade: Sophomore. Sport: Cross Country. Accomplishment: Oosterhout finished 14th at the West Central District 4A meet on Oct. 30, crossing the finish line in 19 minutes, 13.6 minutes, continuing her solid running for the Bears as she has consistently been a top finisher for the squad. Oosterhout helped Tahoma win the South Puget Sound League North Division, the SPSL meet and a third place finish at the district meet. Favorite class: AP European History. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner whom would you invite and what would you serve? I would invite my grandfather and serve lasagna with garlic bread. Greatest athletic moment: Standing on the podium after getting second at state for cross country. What’s currently playing on your iPod? “Happy” by Leona Lewis. Most recent read book/author: “The Hunt for Red October” by Tom Clancy.

JEFF THOMPSON, Tahoma

Grade: Senior. Sport: Football. Accomplishment. Thompson scored two touchdowns in a homecoming game win against Mount Rainier in his first game back after being sidelined with an injury. Favorite class: Relationships (because Mrs. Hanson is amazing). If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner whom would you invite and what would you serve: My girlfriend Alicia because she always tells me I don’t take her on enough dates! Greatest athletic moment: Gaining a 170 yards and running for a touchdown as a junior. What’s on your iPod? “Till I Collapse” by Eminem. Also noted: Thompson is also in Athletic Leadership and will wrestle for Tahoma this winter. He plans to attend either Washington State University of Central Washington.
