ERIC SMITH

Kentlake

• Grade: Junior.

• Sport: Basketball.

• Accomplishment: Smith, a guard, helped the Falcons come back from a seven-point second-half deficit last Friday night against Kent-Meridian. Smith hit a key 3-pointer with 13 seconds remaining and finished with 14 points in a 66-63 overtime victory over the Royals.

J.R. REA

Tahoma

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Wrestling.

• Accomplishment: Rea, a 140-pound standout, helped lift the Bears to their first league title since 1998, working over Auburn’s Nick Courtney to a 23-8 technical fall. The win keyed Tahoma’s 42-17 dual meet victory over Auburn.

• Favorite class: Sports and health sciences.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite my best friend Alyssa to come with me to Quiznos and we would have Alpine Chicken subs, a bowl of broccoli and cheese soup and one cinnamon sugar cookie.

• Favorite movie: Transformers.

• Most recent book read/author: “White Fang” by Jack London.

• Also noted: Rea went undefeated in league this year and has 91 total regular-season takedowns.

TAYLOR SUMMERHAYS

Tahoma

• Grade: Junior.

• Sport: Basketball.

• Accomplishment: Summerhays scored a season-high 19 points, including 5 of 9 from 3-point land, and had four steals in a 53-43 victory over Kent-Meridian last Saturday.

• Favorite class: AP U.S. History.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Michael Jordan (and I would serve) Fettucini Alfredo.

• Favorite movie: Iron Man.

• Most recent book read/author: “White Out” by Robert Marcum.

• Also noted: Summerhays is an Eagle Scout and plans to attend Brigham Young University after graduating.

JAMIE LARSEN

Kentwood

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Gymnastics.

• Accomplishment: Larsen brought home second place in the all-around from last week’s All-City meet, registering a score of 35.55. Larsen was second on the bars (8.80), the beam (9.2) and the floor (9.25).

• Favorite class: Sports medicine.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite Shia Labeouf and we would eat cheese ravioli with Alfredo sauce because that’s my favorite food.

• Favorite movie: Transformers.

• Most recent book read/author: “Twilight” by Stephanie Meyer.

• Also noted: Larsen runs cross country in the fall and also does the pole vault with the track team during the spring. She hopes to continue with the pole vault in college.

NORA KEITH

Kent-Meridian

• Grade: Junior.

• Sport: Gymnastics.

• Accomplishment: Keith bagged third place in the all-around at last week’s Kent All-City meet. Keith snagged the crown in the vault and added a third-place finish on the floor exercise.

• Favorite class: English.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite my classmates, Keenan Komoto, McKaley Brewer and Parmjit Gill. We would order take-out from Olive Garden and eat with chopsticks.

• Favorite movie: Forest Gump.

• Most recent book read/author: “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

ANDREW DOUGLASS

Kentwood

• Grade: Senior.

• Sport: Swimming.

• Accomplishment: Douglass, who endured knee surgery in the offseason, snagged first place in the 200 IM on Saturday at the SPSL district meet, touching out in 2:09.00

• Favorite class: Physics, Calculus.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Everyone from the Kentwood swim team in the last four years.

• Favorite movie: Pirates of the Caribbean.

• Most recent book read/author: “Deception Point” by Dan Brown.

• Also noted: Douglass plans on studying architectural engineering at the University of Washington after graduating.

MATT DRUI

Kentridge

• Grade: Sophomore.

• Sport: Swimming.

• Accomplishment: Drui was one of the key reasons Kentridge was able to take second at last Saturday’s sub-district meet as he took second in the diving competition with 292.80 points.

• Favorite class: Band.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite Jim Carrey and I would serve New York style T-bone steak.

• Favorite movie: Stranger than fiction.

• Also noted: Drui is in a rock band named “Special Guest,” which is currently recording its first album.
