• Accomplishment: Marx, a setter, tied a school record on Sept. 24 against Federal Way, serving up 10 aces to go along with 16 assists in a three-game (25-13, 25-12, 25-17) sweep of the Eagles.
• Favorite class: Video Productions and Drama.
• Favorite movie: Love and Basketball.
• Most recent book read/author: “Fahrenheit 451” by Ray Bradbury.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite Superman because he’s amazing. I would serve steak and, for dessert, powdered doughnuts.

CHRIS MARANGON
Tahoma
• Grade: Senior.
• Sport: Football.
• Accomplishment: Marangon continued to churn out touchdowns, scoring three more times in leading the Bears past Kent-Meridian, 48-13. Heading into play last night against Federal Way, Marangon had tallied nine touchdowns for the season.
• Favorite class: Sports and Health.
• Favorite movie: Troy.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Brett Favre, Terrell Owens and my coach McGraw. We would be eating McGraw’s barbecue chicken and ribs.
• Also noted: Marangon also plays on Tahoma’s varsity baseball team and has been to state in each of his previous three years in the sport. He hopes to attend either the University of Washington or Washington State University next fall.
STEPHANIE SHUMAKER
Kentwood
• Grade: Senior.
• Sport: Volleyball.
• Accomplishment: Shumaker continued to make things happen for Kentwood, serving up a total of 74 assists in wins over Kentlake and Tahoma last week.
• Favorite class: Sewing.
• Favorite movie: Armageddon.
• Most recent book read/author: “The Wedding” by Nicholas Sparks.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite my grandpa and I would serve chicken fingers and mashed potatoes.
• Also noted: Shumaker sports a 3.6 grade-point average and helped her club team take fifth at nationals last summer.
LUKE ANGEVINE
Kentwood
• Grade: Senior.
• Sport: Football.
• Accomplishment: All Angevine did on Sept. 25 against Auburn Riverside was throw touchdowns. The senior quarterback completed 2 of 4 passes — both for scores — for 87 yards in Kentwood’s 52-0 drubbing of the Ravens.
• Favorite class: Leadership.
• Favorite movie: Grind.
• Most recent book read/author: “Catcher in the Rye” by J.D. Salinger.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: Jesus Christ. We would have steak, done medium well, a side salad and Ginger Ale.
