• Accomplishment: Bahlenhorst, an outside hitter, racked up 10 kills and added 11 digs, leading the Bears to a season-ending three-game (25-19, 25-20, 25-22) sweep of Federal Way.

• Favorite class: American Sign Language with Ms. Tubbs.

• Favorite movie: Just Friends.

• Grade: Sophomore.

• Sport: Swimming.

• Accomplishment: Bailey was the star performer during last weekend’s district meet at Rogers High, winning the 100-yard backstroke (54.99) and the 100 free (50.17). Bailey’s time in the backstroke was 28 hundredths of a second faster than the current state mark of 55.27.

• Favorite class: English.

• Favorite movie: Too many to choose one.

• Most recent book read/author: “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” by Harriet Beecher Stowe.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: If I could invite anyone in the world to dinner, I would invite my cousin whom I haven’t seen in ages and I would serve sushi.

JOSEPH BANKS

Kentwood

• Grade: Sophomore.

• Sport: Football.

• Accomplishment: Banks keyed Kentwood’s 24-13 win over Kentlake last Friday, exploding for an 86-yard, third-quarter touchdown run that helped the Conks seal the SPSL North’s No. 2 playoff berth. Banks finished the night with 102 yards on six carries.

• Favorite class: Math.

• Favorite movie: Remember the Titans.

• Most recent book read/author: “This Present Darkness” by Frank E. Peretti.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: (NBA star) Kobe Bryant. I would serve gumbo, my favorite dish.

• Sport: Soccer.

• Accomplishment: Osterman led a Tahoma onslaught last Thursday afternoon, registering one goal and two assists in a 10-0 win over Kent-Meridian.

• Favorite class: Retail Operations.

• Favorite movie: The Notebook.

• Most recent book read/author: “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck.

• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite (soccer star) David Beckham and I would serve chocolate milk, lots of garlic bread, spaghetti with meatballs and chocolate chip cookies.
