The words of senior Tahoma High catcher Cory Ferguson summed up the game following the Bears 6-3 victory over Newport High at Safeco Field Saturday.
The Bears did it the Tahoma way. After trailing 6-3 to Newport, the Bears dug in and came back in the top of the seventh frame to clinch third in state at Safeco Field.

The Bears fell tonight 4-1 to Puyallup at Safeco Field in the second semifinal game of the day in the 4A state tournament.
While Tahoma lost its bid to win the state title, the team will play Newport High tomorrow, 1 p.m. at Safeco, for third place in state.
In the earlier semifinal game, Richland beat Newport 6-2. Puyallup and Richland play at 7 p.m. tomorrow for the title.
The Tahoma Bears play Newport at 1 p.m. Saturday at Safeco Field.
The game will determine third and fourth in the state 4A tournament.
