The Mercedes Benz of Seattle 24th Annual Pacific Northwest Historics will be pounding Pacific Raceways 2.25-mile 10-turn road course Friday through Sunday.
It’s an opportunity to see some of the finest automotive marques racing for prestige and glory.Track action begins at 9 a.m. each day.
Seven groups of race cars will be competing.
A special category of all-British production cars will race as well to include Jaguar, MG, Lola, Cooper, Aston Healey, Triumph, Lotus, Morris, Tyrrell, McLaren, and Brabham, to name a few.
The seven race groups include Historic Small Bore including Porsche, Alfa Romeo, Triumph, MG and Morris; Historic Medium Bore cars including larger displacement cars such as Porsche 911; Historic Large Bore, which include the American Trans-Am racers of the 1960’s plus Ford GTs and AC Cobras; Formula Cars such as Lotus, Winkelmann, and Titan; and Large Bore Sportsracers and Formula Cars, such as a 1980 McLaren M29 and a 1973 Brabham.
Three-time Indianapolis 500 champion Johnny Rutherford will be the special guest celebrity during the weekend. “Lonestar JR” won the 500 in 1974, ’76, and ’80.
He is a member of the International Motorsports Hall of Fame, National Sprint Car Hall of Fame, and Motorsports Hall of Fame of America. General Admission tickets are $25 per day.
Pacific Raceways features infield seating as well as front straight grandstand seating.
