The Maple Valley 1 Senior softball team finished its season by winning the Puget Sound Senior Softball Co-Ed League championship.
The tournament was held at Celebration Park in Federal Way on Aug. 4 and 6.
The Maple Valley team went 4-0 during the tourney playing teams from Sumner, Kent and Mercer Island.
During the championship game, Maple Valley faced a team from Mercer Island.
Maple Valley was down 5-3 entering the sixth inning.
During that inning, Maple Valley scored fives runs and took the lead.
Three more runs were also scored in the top of the seventh, giving Maple Valley a 11-5 lead.
The Maple Valley 1 Senior team has won the co-ed championship five years in a row now.
During the season, the Maple Valley team went 27-1. The only loss all season came to Bellevue.
