Kentwood water polo stops Hornets

The Kentwood/Kentlake boys water polo team hosted the Enumclaw Hornets at the Covington Aquatic Center Sept. 15 and won 18-15.

It was the first home match for the Kentwood/Kentlake team.

The team opened the season at Kentridge and lost 23-7.

Next up Auburn Riverside hosts Kentwood/Kentlake at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Auburn High pool.

This year the teams are organized into four divisions. The top four teams in each division at the end of the regular season will advance to regional tournaments, Nov. 4-5, at Curtis High School and Rogers High School.

The top four teams from each division will advance to the state tournament.
