The Kentwood girls punched a ticket to the state soccer tournament Saturday

The Conks shutout Gig Harbor 3-0 at Art Crate Stadium in Spanaway in the West Central District III playoffs

Kentwood will play at Eastlake 7 p.m. Tuesday in the first round of the state playoffs.

Against Gig Harbor the Kentwood girls started scoring early and piled up the winning margin in the first frame.

Alex White hit at the 10 minute mark unassisted. Rachel Bindl scored next with an assist from Clarisa Hammer at the 27 minute mark. Bindl assisted Kiana Kraft for the third score at 37 minutes.

Megan Walburn and Courtney Johnson earned the shutout for the game.
