Kentlake’s 5-3 win over Kentridge Friday night had a feeling of deja vu to it.

When the rivals met up on March 26 it was a back and forth affair with the game tied up until the sixth inning when Kentlake broke the 2-2 stale mate and eventually won the game 9-2.

An offensive assault came in the bottom of the fifth for the Falcons with the Chargers leading 2-1.

Jessie Richardson walked. Then Kentridge pitcher Kelli Suguro walked Kellie Nielsen. Both runners advanced to second and third on a wild pitch.

With two outs, Brooke Evans hits a single through the left side of the Chargers defense, driving in Richardson and moving Nielsen to third base.

Libby Biehl singled to right field and drove in Nielsen to take the lead.

Relief pitcher Hannah Sauget then hit a single to left center driving in two more runs for Kentlake, putting the score at 5-2.

Kentridge was able to get one run back in the top of the sixth.

Nikole Weber pitched 3 2/3 giving up seven hits and two earned runs while collecting a pair of strike outs. Sauget picked up the win in relief, allowing one hit and one run, while striking out two.

Kentlake has a busy week ahead playing a make up game on Monday against Auburn, then taking on Tahoma at home on Tuesday night with the hopes of avenging its only loss all season and getting a share of the South Puget Sound League North lead.

After that, though, there is no rest for the Falcons who play Federal Way on Wednesday and Kentwood on Friday.
