The following is information from a Hazen soccer media release:
Kentlake (2-5-1) took advantage of a sluggish Hazen (4-2-2) first half and scored the game winner 26 minutes into Tuesday’s game at Kentlake.
Despite having a distinct advantage in the run of play the second half, Hazen couldn’t get an equalizer.
Hazen coach Ken Matthews said sophomore Alex Reed was named Woman of the Match.
Meanwhile on the JV side, Hazen beat Kentlake 3-0. Freshman Makayla Visick had two goals and Anna Anderson had one. Laci Johnson had two assists. Keeper Avery Pruitt got the shutout.
Johnson was named Woman of the Match.
Next up Hazen varsity plays Kennedy Catholic at 7:30 p.m. today, Thursday, Sept. 27 at The Joe. Hazen JV begins the double header at 5:30 p.m. at The Joe.
For the Falcons, Kent-Meridian will come to town for a 7:30 p.m. start time at Kentlake High School.
