Play began in the South Puget Sound League North Division Tuesday afternoon as Kentwood took on Kentridge, Tahoma traveled to Kent-Meridian and Kentlake hosted Thomas Jefferson.
Kentwood beat Kentridge 9-6 in an extra inning affair. The Conquerors scored four runs to the Chargers one in the eighth inning to take the win.
Meanwhile, Tahoma beat Kent-Meridian 10 nothing in a five inning game.
The day wrapped up with Kentlake hosting Jefferson. The Falcons drew first blood in the bottom of the first but the Raiders answered by taking a 4-1 lead.
Kentlake’s offense was led by senior Jessie Richardson who went 2-for-3 with a a pair of doubles and five RBIs, responded by taking the lead right back 6-4 and the Falcons never looked back, putting the Raiders away 12-7.
Jefferson travels to Tahoma on Wednesday while Kentlake takes on Kentridge and Kentwood is off tomorrow.
