Demitrius Bronson resigned by Seahawks

Former Kentwood star returns after injury to Christine Michael

The Seattle Seahawks announced today that they released linebacker Marcus Dowtin and guard Greg Van Roten and have resigned former Kentwood star and running back Demitrius Bronson. The team also claimed center Patrick Lewis off waivers (Jacksonville).

Bronson returns to the team after being released on August 25. Backup running back Christine Michael injured his hamstring in practice on Tuesday and is not expected to participate in the team’s final preseason game Thursday night.

Lewis entered the NFL in 2013 as a rookie free agent with the Green Bay Packers, but was released on the final roster cut last August. He was claimed the next day by the Cleveland Browns, who then released him in November and signed Lewis to their practice squad. The Jaguars signed him off the Browns’ practice squad last December.

Dowtin signed with Seattle on August 1 and Van Roten signed a future contract with Seattle on February 14.
