Reporter Preps of the Week are Beau Riggs, Morgan Murrey, Dayton Blackmore and Alyssa Simonson.

Beau Riggs, Tahoma

Grade: Junior. Sport: Football. Accomplishment: Riggs had 54 yards on 13 carries in a narrow loss to Kent-Meridian on Oct. 9, but, he made his carries count, scoring three touchdowns in the 40-36 loss. He also carried the load in the second half in a loss to Kentlake, scoring a touchdown in that game, as well. If you could invite anyone in the world for dinner, whom would you invite and what would you serve: I would invite the guys from Unforgivable videos. I would serve chicken and waffle fries. Favorite class: Psychology. What is your greatest athletic moment: Nine years old, scored the winning touchdown in overtime against Sumner to go to the championship.

Most recent book read/author: “Snow Falling on Cedars” by David Guterson.

Morgan Murrey, Tahoma: Grade: Senior. Sport: Volleyball. Accomplishment: Murrey racked up 11 kills in a three game sweep of Thomas Jefferson on Oct. 7. The 6-1 outside hitter who is the Bears co-captain, had 19 kills and 16 assists in a Sept. 30 victory over Kent-Meridian and added 10 kills and 14 digs in a three-game sweep of Auburn Riverside on Monday to help Tahoma move to 5-0 in league and first place in the SPSL North. If you could invite anyone in the world for dinner, whom would you invite and what would you serve: My best friends and we would have pasta and fruit. Favorite class: We the People. DALTON BLACKMORE, Kentwood

Grade: Senior. Sport: Football. Accomplishment: Blackmore, a wide receiver and linebacker, pulled in a 40-yard touchdown, collected a sack and added two tackles for a loss, helping Kentwood beat Kentlake 30-28 Oct. 8 in a battle of unbeatens. Favorite class: Chemistry. If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: My little sister Maddie. I’d serve steak, scallop potatoes, green beans, and a bean burrito for her. Greatest athletic moment: Being elected captain of the Kentwood football team.

ALYSSA SIMONSON, Kentlake

Grade: Junior. Sport: Soccer. Accomplishment: Simonson scored a pair of unassisted goals in helping the Falcons grab a 3-2 victory over Thomas Jefferson Oct. 2. Favorite class: Careers with Children.

If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite (musician) Justin Bieber. I would serve mom’s enchiladas and Spanish rice. For dessert, I’d make Jell-o pretzel salad.

Greatest athletic moment: Getting the assist for a goal in our Kentwood game this year, then going on to win the game and beating them for the first time in a few years.
