Kentwood, Kentlake and Tahoma opened the first round of the 4A districts tournament Friday at the Kent Service Club Ballfields.

Kentwood and Tahoma played each other in the first round and Tahoma won 10-1.

After beating Kentwood, the Bears moved on to face Gig Harbor.

The Bears won 4-3 and advanced to the district semifinals.

Tahoma lost 7-2 to Bethel in the semis.

The Bears played a state seeding game Saturday against Yelm.

Tahoma won 7-3 for third place.

The 4A state tournament began Friday in Spokane.

The Bears are scheduled to face the Chiefs from Moses Lake.

Scores from the state tournament will be posted online when available.

Fastpitch

Kentlake faced off against Bethel first and lost 13-3.

The Falcons played next in a loser out game and ended its season, losing 12-7 to Rogers of Puyallup.

Kentwood and Tahoma played each other in the first round and Tahoma won 10-1.

The Conks season continued with a 7-6 win over Federal Way Friday.

On Saturday, Kentwood played against Todd Beamer.

The Conks’ season ended Saturday with a 10-0 loss to the Titans.

Baseball

The Kentwood Conks baseball team won its first game of regionals 17-6 over Union Saturday.

With the win, the Conks advanced to the final game of the regional round.

Kentwood faced Gig Harbor but wasn’t able to hold on.

The Conks’ season ended with a 1-0 loss.

Boys Soccer

The Tahoma Bears soccer team won its first game of regionals 1-0 over Camas on Wednesday, May 20.

On Saturday, the Bears hosted Inglemoor in the quarterfinals.

Tahoma lost its second game of the season, 3-2 in overtime Saturday.

The loss ended the Bears run at winning the 4A state title.

If the Bears had advanced to the semifinals, it would have been its first time since 1996.
