Bears, Conks and Falcons are going to state tournament

Each gymnastics team has a few athletes that will be competing in the state tournament this weekend.

Tahoma, Kentlake and Kentwood High School competed in districts on Saturday, Feb. 10 at Auburn Mountainview High School.

All three teams have individuals who qualify to go to the state competition that will be this weekend.

The WIAA state tournament will be held at the Tacoma Dome, starting Thursday, Feb. 15 and will last until Saturday, Feb. 17.

Here are all the teams and individuals who will be going to state and the results of the districts tournament.

Vault

  • Emma Rochleau – 6th, Tahoma
  • Cassie Padilla – 8th, Kentlake

Uneven Bars

  • Cecelia Loudermilk – 3rd, Kentlake

All Around

  • Cecelia Loudermilk – 7th, Kentlake
  • Cassie Padilla – 9th, Kentlake

Kentlake was the 2nd place team and qualified as a team:

  • Autumn Bell – All Around
  • Jenna Carlson – All Around
  • Alohi Holmbeck-Barboza – Vault, Uneven Bars, Floor Exercise
  • Cecelia Loudermilk – All Around
  • Cassie Padilla – All Around
  • Haley Pond – All Around
  • Tallie Vincent – Balance Beam

Individual Qualifiers

  • Maleah Agron (Kentwood) – Vault, Balance Beam, Floor Exercise
  • Jillian Lane (Kentwood) – Uneven Bars
  • Hayley Rayburn (Tahoma) – Balance Beam
  • Elsie Rochleau (Tahoma) – Floor Exercise
  • Emma Rochleau (Tahoma) – Vault, Balance Beam, Floor Exercise
