From the Sideline
“Katie Valerio is an amazing student–athlete on and off the tennis court and deserves to be the athlete of the week. Katie is currently finishing up her fourth season as a varsity tennis player at Kentlake High School, is the girls tennis team co-captain and won both of her league singles tennis matches this week – defeating
her opponents from Kentwood and Mount Rainier. Katie is a natural leader and role model for her younger teammates and always encouraging others to do their best! Not only is Katie a great tennis player, she also runs cross-country and played basketball through her sophomore year. Katie is in the top 5% of her graduating class for grades, holds down a part-time job, is the American Sign Language (ASL) President, Link Crew President, and plans to attend the University of Utah this next fall.”
