Joan Shabino died June 12, 2010 in Covington at the age of 83. She was born August 12, 2010 in Watford City, N.D. to parents Henry and Agnes Helgeson.

Joan worked as a paralegal for numerous firms in the King County area over the years, priding herself as being the best typist around.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Dean Shabino, in February 2009 as well as her sister in 2009 and her parents.

She is survived by her friend Mary Wortman.
