Alice Kay JoupperiAlice Kay Joupperi, 55, of Maple Valley, WA passed away peacefully at her home January 6, 2009. Alice was the loving wife of Carl P. Joupperi and caring mother to daughter Holly Ballou of University Park, FL; son Philip Joupperi of Maple Valley, WA; and daughter Brooke Joupperi of San Jose, CA. Granddaughter Jordan held a special place in Alice’s heart as well.Alice was born in Murphysboro, IL on December 30, 1953. Alice dearly loved her parents John Philip Qualls and Patty Ilene (Summers) Qualls who currently reside in Cypress, CA. Alice is also survived by her sisters Laura Plunkett of Huntington Beach, CA; Sharlyn Green of Monroe, WA; and Melinda Rowley of Cypress, CA.Alice was a compassionate person and she opened her heart and home to all. She was a foster parent to abused children and she served as a mother to any child that came to seek her support. She was an accomplished craftsperson and many of her creations were given as gifts to friends and family. Alice also valued scholarship and she tutored her children as well as neighborhood children.Funeral services for Alice Kay Joupperi were conducted at Marlatt Funeral Home and she was buried at Hillside Burial Park in Kent, WA.
