Colin Lund, director of development for YarrowBay, attended the Tuesday Maple Valley City Council meeting and presented a letter to the staff and council from YarrowBay CEO Brian Ross.
The letter addresses some of the issues Ross has concerning the administrative appeals Maple Valley e-mailed to Black Diamond about the traffic mitigation of The Villages and Lawson Hills developments.
Maple Valley is objecting to the proposals submitted by Kirkland-based YarrrowBay in a final environmental impact statement, or FEIS, concerning potential traffic problems created by the developments. The Villages and Lawson Hills would add more than 6,000 homes in Black Diamond.
Michael R. Kenyon, one of the city attorneys for Black Diamond from the Issaquah firm Kenyon Disend rejecting Maple Valley’s appeals as untimely.
Ross said he is meeting with Maple Valley city officials Friday.
