- THE FUGITIVE: Lake Sawyer. An officer was conducting a routine check of the park boat launch during the hours it was closed when he noticed a vehicle parked with its lights off and it had a male subject sleeping inside of it. The officer spoke to the man, who said he just needed a place to sleep for the night. A records check of the man information showed he had an outstanding felony warrant for escape from custody from the Department of Corrections. The man was placed under arrest and booked into Enumclaw Jail.
Dec. 17
- MESSED UP: 16400 block of Southeast 272nd Street. An officer observed a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lane. He stopped the vehicle and identified the male driver by his Washington State driver’s license. The officer immediately noticed obvious signs of intoxication and the man told the officer he had “messed up.” The man performed several field sobriety tests, which he failed. Upon submitting to a breath test, the man was issued a criminal citation for DUI and several other traffic violations.

- CATCH ME IF YOU CAN: 32300 Railroad Avenue. Officers were dispatched to report of a suspicious vehicle in the area. The anonymous caller said the vehicle was moving around and parking in several areas, eventually stopping at a vacant house. Officers found the vehicle at the vacant residence and with five occupants. They were able to identify one woman by her Washington State driver’s license. A records check showed that the woman had an outstanding felony warrant for forgery from Siskiyou County, Calif. Officers contacted Siskiyou County officials and informed them they would extradite the woman back to California. The woman was placed under arrest and booked into King County Jail on a fugitive from justice charge. Once at the jail the female subject was searched and a small bag of crystal methamphetamines was located in her undergarments. She was told she would be charged with possession of the substance and bringing it into a detention facility.
