Come out and support Lake Wilderness Arboretum at the Fall Plant Sale.

This annual one-day fundraising event takes place Saturday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Arboretum nursery and features a wide variety of native and specialty plants for sale.

With many of the plants marked down at a discount of 50 percent or more, local garden enthusiasts can take advantage of substantial savings.

Gardeners can learn more about the Arboretum’s unique plants, what to purchase and how to prepare their yards for winter with help from many dedicated volunteers, Arboretum Board members and staff, as well as Master Gardeners.

“Proceeds from the Fall Plant Sale help to maintain our beautiful gardens and forest,” says Amy Hardebeck, Executive Director of the Lake Wilderness Arboretum Foundation.

Stopping by the Annual Fall Plant Sale also gives members of the community a chance to visit the display gardens and trails at the changing of the seasons from summer to fall.

The next free docent tour is Saturday, Sept. 21. Maple Valley’s Make a Difference Day is Oct. 26.
