Parking at Maple Valley Days just got a little easier

Parking at Maple Valley Days just got a little easier.

“This year, premiere parking is available at the Arboretum for only $5 per car,” said Noel Paterson, President of the Lake Wilderness Arboretum Foundation. “Plan to get there early, as spots will fill up fast.”

Maple Valley Days, which takes place June 7, 8 and 9 at the adjacent Lake Wilderness Park, is the City’s annual festival that celebrates the community, offering an estimated 120 food and vendor booths, a parade and carnival rides. Organizers are expecting over 13,000 visitors.

Arboretum volunteers will start parking cars one hour before the event opens on all three days: Friday at 2 p.m., Saturday at 11 a.m. and Sunday at 9 a.m.

“Proceeds from parking will go to the Arboretum to help fund new projects and maintain our beautiful gardens,” Paterson said.

Arboretum management also plans to offer free giveaways and information about its history and special events at the first-ever Lake Wilderness Arboretum booth. The Arboretum is open to the public during the event, allowing visitors to explore the gardens and trails.
