On June 6, more than 300 people participated in Black Diamond, Covington and Maple Valley’s 24-hour Relay for Life at Cedar Heights Middle School.
According to the Relay for Life website, the 312 participants, making up 35 teams, have raised $54,776.23.The top participant was Lisa Lucas who raised $3,298.
The top team was 12s For A Cure!, raising $7,131.Even though the event is over, donations are being accepted until August 31.
According to the Facebook page for the Black Diamond, Covington and Maple Valley Relay for Life, the goal is to raise $100,000.
