The Washington State Patrol reports that Madison Zappone Casey, 21, from Maple Valley died from injuries caused from a head on collision early Wednesday morning.

Around 7:30 a.m. Jan. 6 a vehicle traveling southbound on state Route 169 crossed the center turn lane and hit another vehicle in the northbound lane.

Casey was driving the vehicle that was hit.

She was transported to Harborview in critical condition and died early this morning.

Jose Lopez Y Lopez, 52, from Seattle was driving the pickup truck that was traveling southbound when the vehicle slid on ice and hit Casey’s vehicle.
