Unincorporated Area Council to host monthly meeting Oct. 7

Members of the public are invited to attend and can address the Area Council on any local issue during an Open Comment period at the start of the meeting.

The Greater Maple Valley Unincorporated Area Council will hold its monthly meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, October 7 at the Maple Valley Fire Station, located at the corner of Southeast 231st Street and state Route 169. Members of the public are invited to attend and can address the Area Council on any local issue during an Open Comment period at the start of the meeting.

This month there will be three guest speakers: Erika Nuerenberg will discuss the new Health Benefit Exchange, Meagan Elliott will discuss the King County Strategic Plan update, and Jerome Cruz will discuss the cleanup plan for the Landsburg Mine site in Ravensdale.
