COVINGTON
March 13
- STOLEN: 19600 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A student at Cedar Heights Middle School left his iPod in his locker. Usually he locks his locker but it appears that it did not secure as completely as the student thought. When he returned from class his iPod was gone.
March 11
- CHECK CARD FRAUD: 16200 block of Southeast 249th Place. A woman was able to use a stolen debit card at a restaurant, jewelry store and gas station before she was discovered using the card.
- VANDALISM: 19500 block of Southeast 265th Street. After arriving home, a woman found that the cable lines connected to her house had been cut in several places. This is the second time this has happened, the victim reported, and she experienced a number other acts of vandalism since November.
March 10
- NEED A MOTOR: 25400 block of 151st Place Southeast. A boat owner discovered that someone attempted to steal the outboard motor from his boat, which was parked in the driveway of his home, because the lock and electrical wiring were both cut. In addition, two bolts that held the motor onto the boat had been tampered with, but the owner believes someone must’ve interrupted the would-be thief since the job appeared to be only half done.
March 8
- THEFT: 26700 block of 171st Place Southeast. A Specialized men’s nine speed bicycle described as brown and tan was stolen after the owner left it unlocked on the back porch of his apartment.
March 7
- CREDIT CARD FRAUD: 15600 block of Southeast 262nd Place. Someone stole a credit card from a mailbox on a private residential street and used it to make purchases.
MAPLE VALLEY
March 11
- UNDERAGE DRINKING: 27900 block of 240th Avenue Southeast. While en route to break up a drinking party filled with minors, a deputy arrested a partygoer walking to the home where the event was underway, as the young person was carrying a bottle of vodka.
March 10
- BREAK IN: 26600 block of Maple Valley Black Diamond Road. Someone forced entry to a metal storage container at TRM Wood Products which was inside a fenced yard by cutting the locks off then stole tools from within.
March 8
- CAUGHT LOITERING: 23300 block of state Route 169. A gas station employee called police after a man was at the business for more than an hour. When a deputy arrived he discovered the man had a misdemeanor warrant as well as was in possession of marijuana.
March 7
- THEFT: 23100 block of 224th Place Southeast. Someone stole a box truck containing audio and video equipment that was the property of New Community Church from the parking lot of the church.
- FIGHT: 23300 block of Southeast 267th Street. Two juvenile boys met a mutual friend’s house in the Fernwood neighborhood then got into a fistfight, allegedly over a girl.
