Trio of teenage boys caught smoking pot in Maple Valley | Police Blotter

COVINGTON

July 3

  • NO FIREWORKS ALLOWED: 16700 Southeast 268th Street. A man violated Covington’s fireworks restrictions when he lit and threw firecrackers behind a police car.

July 2

  • FIGHT: 19400 block of Southeast 266th Street. A man and a woman got into a fight while at someone else’s home. A gun was allegedly displayed during the altercation.
  • VANDALISM: 25800 block of 164th Avenue Southeast. Someone threw a large flower pot through a window at Kentwood High. No entry was made into the school.
  • ANOTHER FIGHT: 26800 block of 171st Place Southeast. A woman was assaulted by her girlfriend after the victim’s roommate let her in the apartment.

June 28

  • VIOLENT SHOPLIFTER: 17000 block of Southeast 270th Place. A woman fought with a police officer who was trying to arrest her for shoplifting at Kohl’s.

June 26

  • NO BOOKS INSIDE: 18800 block of Southeast 272nd Street. After getting into a collision, it was discovered that one of the parties involved had 100 grams of marijuana stashed in a back pack.

June 21

  • FUNNY MONEY: 17000 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A suspect tried to use a fake $20 bill to make a purchase at a grocery store.

 

MAPLE VALLEY

July 1

  • CAR PROWL: 21400 block of Southeast 278th Way. A suspect, who was caught on surveillance video in the act, entered an unlocked car and stole cash and a debit card. Police were also able to get latent finger prints at the scene.

June 30

  • LAWNMOWER SWIPED: 24200 block of Witte Road Southeast. At some point between June 26-30 someone removed the lock from a locked shed at a church and stole a lawnmower.

June 29

  • BREAK IN: 26400 block of state Route 169. Someone broke into a fireworks trailer by cutting a hole into the floor. The suspects stole thousands of dollars worth of fireworks.

June 28

  • DRIVE BY VANDALISM: Southeast 276th Street and Maple Valley Highway. While the victim was driving northbound on Maple Valley Highway, a passing vehicle threw an unidentified object at his windshield, which shattered the glass. The victim was not injured and is willing to assist in prosecution.

June 27

  • COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: 22400 block of Southeast 231st Street. Someone forced entry into a business through an office window and took property from the office.
  • A LITTLE WEED: Southeast 266th Street and 228th Avenue Southeast. A trio of teen boys were smoking marijuana in a truck. When contacted by an officer, the boys still had the weed, a pipe as well as a scale.
