The Greater Maple Valley Unincorporated Area Council meeting June 6

The Greater Maple Valley Unincorporated Area Council monthly meeting is scheduled from 7-9:30 p.m. Monday, June 6 at King County Police Precinct No. 3 (NE corner of intersection of SE 231st St & SR-169 across from the Fire Station).

The Greater Maple Valley Unincorporated Area Council monthly meeting is scheduled from 7-9:30 p.m. Monday, June 6 at King County Police Precinct No. 3 (NE corner of intersection of SE 231st St & SR-169 across from the Fire Station).

The featured speaker will be Harry Reinert from King County’s Department of Development and Environmental Services (DDES) who will discuss changes to the King County Code, specifically zoning. The council also will be discussing the King County comprehensive plan update; upcoming development agreement hearings on the Black Diamond master planned developments; and county-wide planning policies update.

All members of the public are invited to attend. During an open comment period at the start of the meeting members of the public can address the Area Council on local issues of importance to them.

The council is locally elected and represents all unincorporated area residents living in the Tahoma School District. It serves as the area’s advisory body to the King County Council.
