Tahoma School District’s Elementary Boundary Review Committee will present a series of options at a pair of public meetings set for 6:30 p.m. April 14 and April 19, both at Rock Creek Elementary.

The committee of 10 has developed four proposals to adjust the elementary school boundaries in the district after it review plans that would address overcrowding at Glacier Park and Lake Wilderness elementary schools, according to information provided by Kevin Patterson, spokesman for the district.

A total of 120 students would move from Glacier Park and Lake Wilderness into Rock Creek and Shadow Lake elementary schools once the plans are implemented.

During the public meetings, parents and other interested residents will have the chance to review the proposed plans then offer input to the committee.

Following the meetings, the boundary review committee will narrow the plans down to two.

The four proposals are:

Purple option

•S.E. Wax Road area from S.E. 200th Ave. S.E. to S.E. 231st moves from Lake Wilderness Elementary to Shadow Lake Elementary.

•Taylor Creek and the Highlands of Cedar River move from Shadow Lake Elementary to Rock Creek Elementary.

•Lake Retreat area and Ravensdale area east to 320th Ave. S.E. (“Gravel Pit” area) moves from Glacier Park Elementary to Rock Creek Elementary.

Red option

•S.E. Wax Road area from S.E. 200th Ave. S.E. to S.E. 231st moves from Lake Wilderness Elementary to Rock Creek Elementary.

•S.E. 216th Street to 276th Ave. S.E. and north in Hobart area moves from Rock Creek Elementary to Shadow Lake Elementary.

•Lake Retreat area and Ravensdale area east to 320th Ave. S.E. (“Gravel Pit” area) moves from Glacier Park Elementary to Rock Creek Elementary.

Green option

•Wilderness Estates neighborhood moves from Lake Wilderness Elementary to Rock Creek Elementary.

•Wilderness Hills neighborhood moves from Lake Wilderness Elementary to Rock Creek Elementary.

Valley Meadows neighborhood moves from Rock Creek Elementary to Shadow Lake Elementary.

•Lake Retreat area and Ravensdale area east to 320th Ave. S.E. (“Gravel Pit” area) moves from Glacier Park Elementary to Rock Creek Elementary.

Yellow option

•Fernwood Estates neighborhood moves from Lake Wilderness Elementary to Rock Creek Elementary.

•Wilderness Hills neighborhood moves from Lake Wilderness Elementary to Rock Creek Elementary.

•Valley Meadows neighborhood moves from Rock Creek Elementary to Shadow Lake Elementary.
