For the second consecutive year, Washington State Patrol safety inspectors have determined that at least 97 percent of Tahoma School District buses and support vehicles are in top mechanical condition.
In all, 72 buses and eight support vehicles
were inspected.
Two buses were found to have inoperable warning buzzers on their vandal lock systems. Those were
repaired immediately.
This marks the fifth consecutive year that the State Patrol has certified Tahoma’s vehicle fleet as having at least a 95 percent safety success rate.
