The Tahoma High School Chamber Choir has been selected to perform in the bi-annual Northwest Division of the American Choral Directors’ Association convention.
The division covers the six northwestern states including Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming, and hundreds of professional choir directors attend the event.
As part of the convention, some of the best choirs in the northwest are invited to perform, including many professional and university groups. This year three high school groups were invited to perform.
The audition process requires recordings from the past three years in order to show a tradition of excellence and selections are made by a panel of experts based solely on what they hear without knowing who they are listening to.
