Tahoma High graduate Clarissa Huson has been awarded a Dean’s Scholarship for $1500 for the 2011-12 academic year at Eastern Washington University.

The award is given to new incoming freshman who have demonstrated outstanding academic merit and achievements in high school.

Huson graduated from Tahoma Senior High School in 2011, where she was on the swim team and the speech and debate team. She will attend EWU in the fall.

Huson is the daughter of David and Janet Huson of Maple Valley.
