The Tahoma Cheer Boosters silent/live dinner auction gala, “Shoot for the Stars”, is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 at the Maplewood Gold Course, 4050 Maple Valley Hwy. in Renton.

The cheerleaders have been working since June to acquire items from local merchants for the auction.

The night promises to be full of fun with the live auction, best-of-live raffle and competitive dessert dash.

The funds raised at the auction will help with the cost of cheerleaders traveling to the USA high school spirit nationals cheer competition in Anaheim, Calif. in March. Also a portion of the proceeds raised will be donated to the Maple Valley Food Bank.

The cost for the gala is $50 per person. The price includes dinner and one drink coupon.

The menu choices are lime/cilantro marinated chicken with pineapple mango compote or maple glazed pork chops with molasses butter sauce.

The deadline for purchasing tickets is Jan. 25.

The Bears cheerleaders continue to practice four days a week, while keeping up with their studies and participating in community events. Those events included volunteering with the Maple Valley fire and Life Safety holiday engine in December wand working with the food bank during the Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas toy shopping and dinner programs.
