On July 28 Jonathan Daniel Harris, 30, pleaded guilty to the murder of Enumclaw resident Nicole White.

In addition to pleading guilty to second-degree murder, as part of the plea agreement, he also pleaded guilty to second- and third-degree assault.

White was reported missing by her mother June 7, 2015, after going out with Harris on June 6 to the Jeepers Country Bar and Grill in Spanaway.

Witnesses saw White and Harris leave the bar together in White’s car, but she never made it home.

Her car was found June 8 down an embankment in Graham, wedged between several trees.

White’s body was discovered by police search dogs in a wooded area near Kapowsin on June 20. She was wrapped in a tarp and severely decomposed.

Harris was officially charged with second-degree murder on June 23, 2015. According to the Pierce County Prosecutor’s Office, detectives believe Harris beat White to death at his home after they left the bar. Harris then used her car to drive to the wooded area to dispose of the body, drove the car off the side of the road near his house and walked home.

According to cell phone records and data from Harris’ ignition interlock device in his car, he drove his own car back to where he left White’s body, a release stated.

When detectives searched Harris’ home, they found White’s blood on the sweatshirt he wore the night he went out with her.

Harris’ sentencing is expected in September, and he could receive more than 26 years in prison.
