THEFT: 17400 block of Southeast 272nd Street. Someone stole a DVD player from the counter at Burger King and fled the store with it.
STABBING: 16700 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A man was stabbed with a kitchen knife during a fight.

HAVE CART, WILL SHOPLIFT: 17400 block of Southeast 270th Place. An unknown suspect walked into Walmart, loaded a 47-inch television into a cart then walked out of the store with it.
- Aug. 12
VANDALISM: 25900 block of 160th Avenue Southeast. Someone took a flower pot from a homeowner’s front poor and then smashed it in the street. The homeowner heard a noise but did not go out and investigate it until the next morning.
- Aug. 11
EMBEZZLEMENT: 17400 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A manager of a convenience store reported that one of the store employees had been stealing money from the cash register.
- Aug. 10
BREAK IN: 27200 block of 172nd Avenue Southeast. Someone broke into a car using a prying tool outside of a fitness center and stole a GPS unit and wallet that were inside the vehicle.
THEFT: 26900 block of 176th Place Southeast. A motorcycle helmet was stolen by someone from a home. It appears the thief did not force entry into the house.

CYBER BULLYING: 17500 block of Southeast 259th Place. A juvenile male made threats on social networking site Facebook against another juvenile male.

- Aug. 15
MY NAME IS JOHN DOE: Maple Valley Highway and Southeast 264th Street. A driver was stopped for expired tabs, then gave a fake name, but the officer discovered the motorist was driving with a suspended license, third degree, and was booked into the Enumclaw Jail.
- Aug. 14
SOUND THE ALARM: 22000 block of Southeast 248th Street. After the alarm went off at the Greater Maple Valley Community Center, an employee arrived to discover a door was open, but there was no sign of forced entry and nothing was taken.
- Aug. 11
FRAUD: 27200 block of 213th Place Southeast. A deputy was contacted by police officers from Kansas who were investigating theft and fraud by a suspect who lives and operates a business in Maple Valley. The police officers from Kansas allege the suspect accepted money and guitar parts, but did not fulfill a customer’s order.
