Important repairs to Soos Creek Trail in King County is in need of repair.
A 2.7 mile-long stretch of the trail in Kent will be closed beginning July 31 and will last until mid-August.
The trail will open briefly on Saturday, Aug. 12 for the running portion of the Lake Meridian Triathlon.
Trail users should seek alternative areas for recreation during this time because there will be no effective detours to be set in place. King county offers 175 miles of regional trails, plus 185 miles of backcountry trails.
King County also offer more than 200 parks and 28,000 acres of open space, including regional treasures such as Marymoor park and Cougar Mountain Regional Wild Land Park, 175, and a world-class aquatic center.
