Son arrested for stabbing death of mother in Black Diamond awaits bail hearing | Tells investigator, ‘I’ve been through a lot.’

Cecil Douglas Walker was arrested Friday by a Black Diamond police officer for allegedly stabbing to death his 86-year-old mother, Ella May Walker. The 50-year-old Cecil Walker is accused of using a knife to kill his mother while she sat in a chair in her house sometime during the afternoon of Friday, Aug. 27.

The 50-year-old Cecil Walker is accused of using a knife to kill his mother while she sat in a chair in her house sometime during the afternoon of Friday, Aug. 27.

The probable cause statement filed by the investigating officer with the King County Prosecutor’s office stated Cecil Walker is believed to have committed first degree murder, domestic violence.

According to Dan Donohoe, spokesman for the prosecutor’s office, Cecil Walker is being held based on probable cause, but charges have not been filed yet.

A bail hearing will be held 2:30 p.m. today, Aug. 30.

The investigating officer wrote in the probable cause statement, Cecil Walker showed up in the lobby of the police station at 4:45 p.m. Friday Aug. 27 and told a record’s clerk there was a dead body at his home in the 25000 block of Morgan Street.

He identified himself as “Cecil” and left the station.

Two Black Diamond officers went to the scene and as they approached the house Cecil Walker came out onto the front porch.

One of the officers noticed Cecil Walker’s clothes were cover in blood and there was blood on his face.

The investigating officer wrote in the report Cecil Walker told the officers to, “Come on in.”

Cecil Walker turned to go back inside the house and one of the Black Diamond officers told him to stop, which he did.

The officer asked him what happened and Cecil Walker said, “She’s in the house.”

The officer asked who he was referring to and Cecil Walker said, “It had to happen.”

The other officer entered the house and found Ella Walker in the chair. Black Diamond emergency medical personnel arrived and confirmed she was dead.

The report stated she appeared to have been stabbed multiple times.

Walker was arrested and taken to the Black Diamond Police Station. An officer from The Coalition of Small Police Agencies Major Crimes Task Force interviewed Cecil Walker. According to the report, when asked whose blood was on his clothing, Cecil Walker said , “It’s most definitely from Ella.”

When asked how the blood got on him Cecil Walker said, “It could have been from the knife.” He told the investigating officer he picked the knife up from downstairs, then added, “I’ve been through a lot.”
